Reconsidering Long-Form
The Fediverse has spurred a lot of excitement about independent, alternative forms of non-commercial social media. The most popular uses are based on micro-blogging. However now there is an increasing support for publishing or reading long-form content on the fediverse. From June to September 2025 we researched what separates micro-blogging from long-form publishing and how we could improve its design and uptake. Below you can find our findings and insights.
